Noah Blumberg, President
 Noah has always been passionate about design and construction. As a teen, Noah spent his summers doing construction on early colonial and pre-colonial homes in the Society Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia. He was fascinated with the architecture of these elegant homes, and with the effort to maintain their historical significance during renovation. He had caught the remodeling bug. With a few years off to finish college at Indiana University, Noah then worked in policy in the House; then with Wilmer, Cutler, Hale and Dorr; and Booz Allen. Finally, he took the plunge and opened his own design-build firm.
Noah launched Ark to specialize in exquisite restorations and renovation. He started by finding and hiring the most efficient and high quality trades-people in the area, and Ark quickly became known as a master of the interior space: of recreating and utilizing existing, interior spaces. Many Ark clients wanted to stay within the foot-print of their existing home, but create more functional space for themselves and their families, and Ark was the exact contractor for those needs.
Now, years later, after restoring gorgeous homes and starting from scratch on a few (and through general practices and NARI Educational programs),
Noah and Ark have earned the Contractor of the Year three times and have been noted as regional experts in green remodeling, with a focus on energy efficiency. Noah prides himself on Ark's talent in guiding clients to make the best "green" remodeling decisions for your home.
Noah's passion is renovations and additions and that becomes clear when you meet him. He thrives on home problem-solving and will take the time to get to know you and your family and help make your home the best it can be based on your parameters, both financial and space-wise.
Noah and his wife, De, have two children, and live in Chevy Chase, MD. Noah is also an avid hockey player, mountain biker, and saxophone player. He is an Industry award-winner and proud member of NARI, the BBB and the Green Building Institute.
De Thomas Blumberg, Creative Director
 A native North Carolinian and UNC-Chapel Hill graduate, De came to Washington in the early 1990s to pursue a career in design and advertising. After many years of moving up the ranks in Washington associations and non-profits, she most recently enjoyed working as the Director of Marketing at the Brookings Institution until the family business had taken off, thanks to the history of referrals.
Now, the Creative Director for Ark Contracting, De works with husband Noah on company marketing as well as helping clients realize the full potential of their remodeling projects. From tile and appliance selection to overall color scheme and layout, De can help. Also, as a multi-tasking mom, she understands family needs and how to most effectively layout your kitchen, family room, master bedroom, office and playroom to get the most from your home.
Linda Fong, Office Director
 After a successful career at MCI in human resources and finance, Linda joined Ark in 2004. Linda is the mastermind behind Ark's ability to keep projects on projection and in budget. Linda manages all billing, project finance management and office administration. She not only handles project financial details but she also helps project managers stay on top of weekly project goals.
Another reason we love Linda: because she keeps the financial end of projects running smoothly, Ark project managers can spend more time with homeowners and subcontractors on on-site details!
